Florence & the Machine's Radio 1 Live Lounge Special

I adore Florence Welch, so when I found out I'd won tickets to see Florence's live lounge session, I was literally hyperventilating on the phone to my sister and twirling around my bedroom. I've seen them perform a few times, the most intimate show being at Somerset House & the most memorable Glastonbury 2010.. but never anything like this.
Once the mini 130 audience were in the studio the lovely Fearne Cotton, who looked gorgeous, welcomed us all in & told us to make as much noise as possible for the mighty Florence.
When you enter a room and see a gold harp about 2 metres high and glittery drums filling the floor.... you know you are in for a treat...

And we were treated (of course), us lucky audience got a whole hours worth of Florence's lung power. I welled up when she started singing 'Shake it Out' but managed to hold myself together through the rest of the set. Flo swirled and clapped her way through 10 songs, old, new and even an exclusive cover of Drake & Rihanna's 'Take Care' - my favourite of the 10!
All that make the machine were just as amazing as Flo, the enchanting backing choir, the brilliant, harpist, the drummer non-stop banging those sparkly drums & the cool guitarist.
So lucky & happy I got to be a part of this special audience today and I can't wait for my next instalment of Florence and her glittery, gold machine - roll on March..

Oh & I even got copy of the set list to take away with me as a special souvenir - ahhhh :)
